Benefits of participation in the ARTT Project for students

• The use of a password protected website for the sharing and critique of work by outside experts – professional artists
• Students can observe work by and communicate with other students across the state.
• The process used in Vermont ARTT supports local curriculum, national standards and the Vermont Visual Art Standards, particularly the Vital Results (Specifically 1.15, 1.18, 5.22., 5.28, 5.29, 5.30, RVS 8.1, 1.16, 2.10, 2.12, 3.7, 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6)
• Opportunities for outside showcases of student work in local communities, conferences and art exhibitions throughout Vermont
• Public portion of the ARTT website cites examples of exemplary student, teacher, and mentor dialogue demonstrating the learning process


Participation fees

• Yearly fee per school - $200 per year, allowing the uploading of up to 25 pieces per year (see Participation Agreement for special introductory fees)
• A special discount is available if a teacher teaches at more than one school.
The work of the Vermont ARTT Project in online mentoring and visual arts has been cited as a “Promising Educational Technology Program” by the US Department of Education in 2000 as initiatives of the WEB Project, a federal Technology Challenge Grant.
